Event Subsidies
The South Australian Local Government Financial Management Group, in conjunction with our Platinum Sponsor the Local Government Finance Authority, provides subsidies to regional Councils to assist them with the costs of attending our Conferences and Workshops.
To be eligible, the participant must work and live greater than 100km from the Adelaide CBD.
There are three subsidies available:
- A $100 regional subsidy will be provided for event registration costs for each eligible participant. This is selected during the event registration process and will be automatically applied.
- A subsidy from the SALGFMG to assist with attendance of regional participants being able to attend Conferences and Workshops.
- A subsidy from the LGFA to assist with attendance and the additional costs of regional participants being able to attend Conferences and Workshops, such as travel and accommodation, up to $1250 excl. GST per applicant.
Subsidies are by application only using the form below and are subject to the conditions outlined below.
Each application for a subsidy will be assessed on merit, and based on demand, it may not be possible to fully fund all subsidy applications.
Proof of costs incurred to attend the event must be supplied – this can be emailed to admin@salgfmg.com.au pre or post event.
The Executive Committee reserves the right to apportion available subsidy funds as they see fit, by partially funding or rejecting subsidy requests.
In assessing applications, the following factors will increase the likelihood of a subsidy being funded, but is not exhaustive:
- Greater distance travelled from Adelaide
- Greater cost of travel
- Greater length of time since a subsidy was last provided
